Profile
Georges Merx began his photography passion at age 9, when he was given a cheap camera for his First Communion celebration. He caught "the bug," and began a lifelong pursuit in photography, buying his first SLR camera, an Olympus® OM-2™, at age 12 (after saving up for a year).
Thanks to generous and gifted teachers over the years, from the members of the Luxembourg Photo Club, to his photo teacher, Mr. Larry Martinsen at Valhalla High School in El Cajon, CA, to his friend, Mr. Craig Spooner, former LA Times photographer, Dr. Merx was able to develop his skills and expertise. Combined with his knowledge of computer graphics software, this expertise is now available to the clients and customers of Georges Merx Photography.
